I grow a number of varieties of strawberry. The most reliable for crop and flavour is Elsanta which is the commercial supermarket variety. I also like Hapil which produces a smaller crop of large tasty fruits.

This thread has encouraged me to try Mara-de-Bois

I'm tempted for Mara as well,mainly because it has such a good feedback.I don't know why but I'm attracted to older varieties-that's why I got Alice and Elsanta.Still thinking about Cambridge Favourite,Sonata also caught my eye(don't know if it's older variety or not).
